Responsibilities Include:

  • Complete delivery of equipment, tools, materials, and supplies to and from job sites and supplier locations
  • Clean, organize, and inventory shop & yard
  • Clean, maintain, and inspect all equipment, tools, and supplies for longevity of use
  • Perform general maintenance of shop, yard, and office, including snow plowing
  • Communicate and work effectively with Superintendents, Project Managers, Field Operation Managers, and all other Tri-North personnel 
  • Understand and abide by all OSHA, Federal Motor Carrier, and Tri-North safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work environment at all times

Requirements:

  • Must have and maintain a class A Commercial Driver’s License 
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds

Job Description:

Tri-North Builders is currently seeking an Estimator with 3+ years of experience bidding and estimating commercial and retail projects in our Madison Office.  Projects will include both renovation and new construction. Qualified applicants must have excellent communication and organizational skills and be proficient in estimating, scheduling and cost control. 

Persons employed at Tri-North Builders, Inc who hold the Estimator position shall be able to plan and carry out the responsibilities as listed below.  It also requires them to take responsibility for their actions, work independently and be professional in their dealings with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors and all other employees of Tri-North Builder

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Reads and understands blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work.
  • Performs estimating of steel and pre-engineered buildings according to scope.
  • Performs estimating of masonry work to completion.
  • Performs take-offs of: site work, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, all concrete, rough and finish carpentry including finishes such as ceilings, drywall, paint, base, carpet, tile, and wall coverings.
  • Coordinates with Project Managers and Superintendents to obtain accurate bid information as needed.
  • Contacts subcontractors and/or suppliers.
  • Reviews subcontractors/suppliers bids for conformance to specifications compared to other bids.
